Mr. Min Hong M.Ed

Principal, Paradise Valley Campus

Mr. Min started with the Austin Centers in 2004 at the Peoria campus. Over the years from 2004 – 2016 and 2023-2025, he has had the privilege of growing with the Austin Centers by serving as a TSS (Therapeutic Support Staff), classroom teacher, program coordinator, and most recently, as an assistant principal. These experiences have deeply shaped his educational philosophy and strengthened his commitment to ensuring that every student is seen, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Min is a proud graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology in 2007. While working as a full-time substitute classroom teacher in 2008, he earned a Master’s degree in Special Education in 2010 and later earned a second Master’s degree in Educational Administration in 2015 from Grand Canyon University. His academic background, combined with hands-on experience has grounded his leadership in both practical knowledge and deep compassion.

Min’s career spans multiple school systems and communities from Arizona to New York, including roles in the Phoenix Union High School District, Dysart Unified School District, and Syracuse City School District. These opportunities allowed him to develop a broad perspective on student needs, family engagement, and the importance of inclusive educational practices.

In 2023, Min returned to the Austin Centers: Peoria campus with a passion for student growth and collaborative leadership. He believes in creating a school culture that celebrates diversity, prioritizes student well-being, and holds high expectations grounded in compassion.

During his free time, Min enjoys hitting the golf course and spending time with his wife and two children: AiVy and Van
