Many districts utilized transportation services provided by The ACES to transport some or all of their ACES students. In total, we currently transport more than 100 students from 20 different districts. The ACES sub-contracts with our transportation company Ready to Roll, to provide transportation services for special needs students on fleet passenger vans along with a minimum of 2 First Aid/CPR Certified staff members. We provide drivers and attendants who have received specific training in behavior management which includes Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and certification as well as training in other behavioral intervention models. These individuals are Therapeutic Support Staff who are employed in The ACES educational program during the instructional day and who are experienced in handling behavioral issues. To ensure therapeutic continuity, inappropriate student behaviors which occur during transportation are dealt with at The ACES as a part of the student’s behavioral plan.
In addition to transporting students that attend The ACES, Ready to Roll also provides transportation for individuals with special needs that attend other schools or programs.
