Mr. Andy Findysz was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a degree in Secondary Education. He earned his Special Education LBS1 from Aurora (IL) University and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Governor’s State University. While living in the Chicagoland area, Andy was a teacher, athletic director, and high school baseball coach. Andy and his family moved to Arizona in 2010 when Andy accepted a position as principal of a special education school in southwest Phoenix.
In 2014, Andy joined The ACES team, working at the Peoria campus as a teacher and Extended School Year Coordinator. He then shifted to the Phoenix West campus where he continued to teach and serve as the school’s Coordinator of Educational Programming. In the Fall of 2017, Andy became the principal of The ACES Tempe campus. Andy is very proud and honored to be a part of The ACES family. He believes strongly in the importance of having the school, the families, the district, and members of the community working together as a team to ensure success for each student. Andy is a strong advocate in creating an educational environment that is safe, engaging, and responsive, which puts the students’ needs first. He believes his number one asset is his strong work ethic which was passed on to him by his parents.
In his spare time Andy enjoys watching team sports whether it is at the professional, collegiate, or youth levels. He is a horse and dog lover and has a special spot in his heart for chocolate Labradors.
